The Reflex5s Foot & Calf Massager Review – Is It Effective?

A Loud and Clunky but Effective Foot Massager

The Human Touch Reflex5 is designed to replicate the feeling of a professional massage from the comfort of your own home. It features eight pre-programmed massage options that target different reflexology points on the feet and calves. The intense squeeze mechanism helps relieve tension while its built-in sensors detect pressure points and adjust accordingly for maximum comfort. Its unique oscillation mode will help ease away knots and its patented airbag technology provides gentle compression that makes you feel like you’re getting a masseuse’s touch right at home.

The Human Touch Reflex5s Foot & Calf Massager

We found the massager itself to be easy to use, but we found the rollers to be fairly low-powered and not effective in providing relief for deep knots or tense muscles. Furthermore, the heat setting was unreliable and didn’t stay on for long enough to make any real difference. The “warm air” is so bad it feels like a prank.

The Reflex5s does have its merits though;  the two modes – kneading and rolling – both apply consistent pressure along your feet while delivering a soothing massage experience and its the best stationary unit we’ve tried for massaging the calves.

The machine accommodates up to three user settings, allowing multiple people to enjoy the same device without worrying about customized settings being lost in between uses. Additionally, users can choose from five levels of intensity from mild to vigorous according to their preference. This level of customization allows users with varying levels of pain or muscle fatigue to get the treatment they need quickly.

One downside we found during testing was that some people may find it difficult fitting their feet into the lower chamber as it is designed for standard footwear sizes—anything outside that range may have difficulty properly fitting inside due to its narrow footprint size (14 ½ inches by 8 ½ inches).

Its also very loud and noisy and we had to turn the volume up on our TV when it was on.

Ours lasted about 2 1/2 years of daily use before it started making horrid noises and clicks until it died about a month later.

Overall, while the Reflex5s Foot & Calf Massager has some nice features and does the trick. It does not lack power but it is expensive, clunky, not versatile and ultimately hard to recommend fully.

Since our  Reflex5s  died, we have been happier with our Cloud Massager.
