Our writers are experienced travelers who know the world inside-out, but they also have first-hand knowledge of living with chronic pain. They understand the complex challenges that come with traveling while managing a chronic condition. Each journey they undertake is not just an exploration of a new locale, but also an exploration of personal resilience and adaptability. From acclimating to different climates to finding pain-friendly activities, they’ve accumulated a wealth of practical knowledge and tips which they are eager to share with our readers. At Voyage Through, we believe that chronic pain shouldn’t limit one’s freedom to experience the world, and our team is committed to making travel more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Around 116 million Americans are affected by chronic pain – resulting in an estimated $635 billion spent on treatments such as braces, creams, pills and therapy apparatuses.

Along with reviews, we post traditional travel writing and unique healing experiences. We believe that travel should be accessible to everyone, regardless of physical ailments, and strive to make it easier for those with chronic pain to explore our world.

We understand the difficulty that comes with planning a trip with chronic pain in mind, which is why we are providing first-hand perspectives from different travelers living with issues.

Voyage Through is an online magazine for adult travelers living with chronic pain, providing them with a beacon of information to aid in traversing the vast array of products and services directed towards those struggling with chronic pain.”

While treating the symptoms is important, it’s also essential to look at lifestyle, communication with doctors, and physical and mental therapy to approach the source of the pain.

Letter from the Editor:

“I’ll Try Anything”

There is a point in one’s pain journey when a special phrase enters one’s lexicon: “I’ll try anything.” This phrase often expresses exhaustion from the effort of dealing with chronic pain and the common discouragement of not being able to enjoy normal activities.

By embracing this phrase, though, a person can open themselves up to the possibility of a life with less pain and find new sources of hope. I, myself, have normalized the “I’ll try anything” approach due to my own pain management experiences.

Aggregators understand this feeling and target me with gadgets, creams, methods, pillows, subscriptions, prescriptions, classes, books and getaways all tailored to address my specific needs. Unless I detect a scam I usually give it a go.

Voyage Through is an online magazine dedicated to exploring and discussing travel while living with chronic pain, ADHD, and other issues. Our goal is to provide helpful resources and information for travelers facing unique challenges so they can make the most out of their journeys.

As our magazine grows, we aim to become an even more comprehensive guide, so no one will feel restricted on their journey.
